How to see addresses in My Maps (Google Maps) on iPhone

I'd like to see the address of each location I added to My Maps, when I view the map on my iPhone.

I created a map for a road trip in Google's "My Maps" in my computer's browser. When I click on a location I added to the map (a restaurant, for example), a box pops up that shows the address (and sometimes the website and a phone number).

However, when I open the same map in "Your Places" in Google Maps on my iPhone, I can't see any addresses or other information about the business. When I touch a place, I see only the name. Touching "Route" doesn't show the address either. Is there any way to get the address and any additional information for each location to show up on my iPhone?

When I tap a starred location, a bar appears at the bottom of the screen with the name of the place. If you tap that it slides up to reveal details.

If I tap the menu (3 horizontal lines in the left of the search box) and then Your Places, I get a list of starred places showing their addresses.

I don't believe that the old "My Maps" is supported any longer. Maybe that's what you're running into. I used to use My Maps a lot, and begrudgingly switched to starred places in my Google account. It' works fine.

And for clarification, are you using Google Maps in a browser on your phone, or are you talking about the app?

Response by poster: I'm using the Google Maps iPhone app. I don't want to use starred places (which work the way humboldt32 says) because they're just a list of places not associated with my trip. I want all the places for one road trip on a specifically named map, which I have in Google Maps in the desktop browser. I can see all my created maps, with the correct icons that I've assigned to places, in the Google Maps app. I just can't see addresses.
