Web-based, non-twitchy word games

I'm looking for word games that I can play in a web browser and that don't have any time pressure.

I love the iOS game Spelltower, and I do the NYT Crossword Puzzle daily. Both of those are great because I can come back to them when I have a few minutes of downtime and work on them slowly. Are there any more like this? I wish there were a version of Spelltower that I could play in a browser tab, but I haven't been able to find one.

Best answer: I like Babble at playbabble.com

The word grid is up for 24 hours and it saves your answers throughout the day. That game is one of my favorites.

2nding Babble! - it's nice to play throughout the day when I need quick a break from things. Even if you exit the browser it will remember where you are when you come back to it.

Sporcle.com and funtrivia.com have fun word games as well (and both have badges/achievements if you like that kind of stuff). Although (i think) most games on Sporcle are timed, you can pause your progress.

My own creation Rollo might interest you. It's a turn-by-turn guessing game where you try to figure out a mystery word by guessing other words and using some deductive logic.

If you've got a good vocabulary, you'll finish most games in 10-15 guesses. Easy to leave a tab open and return to a game or play a quick game without stopping.

Puzzle Baron offers several kinds of in-browser word games: Cryptograms and Drop Quotes are two I often play, and there are more listed here. I find it usually takes me from one to ten minutes to complete a puzzle.

Guess My Word
(It tracks time in addition to number of guesses, but you can ignore that.)

The Chihuahua site has 3 new puzzles each day, an apparently infinite archive of past puzzles, and no twitchiness.

Funny Farm is maddening, I have never finished it but I like it. It's a non-timed word association game. I tried to make the link go to the minimalist instructions but I'm not sure if it just goes to the beginning of the game, but basically you just guess words that relate to the words already there and it grows and grows. You can save the game and collaborate with others but I'm a curmudgeon so I haven't, which is probably why I have never finished it...

I'm liking Wordbubble, free from the Play Store app on my phone.
