Where in Toronto...

...can I buy the following cheap but essential things in person: 1) a dual usb port wall charger 2) fox run orange peeler. I don't want to pay shipping for things that cost so little, but I can't seem to find them in the stores in Toronto.

For the wall charger, I'm looking for something like this or this.

For the orange peeler, I'm thinking this. Both tiny cheap yet crucial things I've lost recently and want to replace.

Best answer: 1) Canada Computers - basically everywhere.

2) If Tap Phong (360 Spadina Ave; at Baldwin) doesn't have them, or something like them, I'd be beyond surprised.

In addition to Canada computers, the Home Hardware on college just east of Spadina. They're not a regular home hardware, the basement is all electronics and tech hardware (like not hard drives, just parts).

That said, getting free shipping from Amazon will cost you less than TTC fare or parking.

I think Tap Phuong is closed, last time I went by it was taped over. But those little orange peeler things would be at Kitchen stuff plus, look by the checkout register in the impulse buy bins.

As an aside, I recently have gotten on an Aukey train after many heartbreaks with budget USB plugs. They have been great, and some have Quick Charge.

They also have USB plugs at The Source - there are locations in pretty much every middling to major mall in the city, as well as some stand-alones.

FWIW, dx.com has worldwide free shipping and is stuffed to the gills with small cheap electronics, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have an orange peeler as well.

dx is neat and all, but if you need something sooner than 4-6 weeks, it's right out.
