Complete Film Soundtrack

Is there a good online resource for the complete list of music that appears in a given film but may or may not be included in the released soundtrack?

This website - IMDB - sometimes has more complete info on movie soundtracks than the released soundtrack.

Generally speaking, if it's not listed in the "Soundtrack" link for any given movie at IMDB, you'll probably have to do some digging via Google to find a more complete listing.

Sit through the film's credits and peruse the music credits (usually near the very end). Assuming you have access to a copy of the movie of course.

Response by poster: Hmm...

Thanks for the IMDB "soundtrack" link. It isn't quite as complete as I would like but I was unaware the link existed. I guess that's what happens when you have almost 50 links on your left hand nav bar.

Yeah, I'm surprised someone hasn't transcribed the musical credits from the end of films and posted them online to catch those few treasured soundtrack-less songs from slipping away.

Are you looking for a particular movie's soundtrack listing?

Response by poster: No, no particular movie. The Big Lebowski is what sparked the question. I had the soundtrack on my amazon wishlist a while back and just pulled it up the other day. While reading the user reviews I noticed that people were upset about some crucial songs missing. Someone listed all of the songs in one of the review so I downloaded (legally of course) those songs. I remember missing other good songs from Fight Club and Dazed and Confused as well.
