Using Multiple Ipod touches on 1 computer

I am getting a new Ipod touch. My old one (the second version)the IOS is just so outdated it's just time. When I hook up the new ipod will the data I have in my old Library sync to the new one? Also my wife will be getting her own ipod touch for the first time, can she use hers on the same computer. Thanks for the help!
Best answer: Also you and your wife may want to use Family Sharing, which lets you share apps and things while still having your own AppleIDs.

As others have already said -- there's no problem syncing more than one iPod Touch (or other iOS device) on one computer. You can also easily restore the backup from your old Touch to the new one, or you can selectively choose what to sync, or you can decide not to sync -- all are options depending on what you want to do.
It's easy, and if you make a mistake or choose the wrong option you can try again until you get it right (as long as you don't delete the backups on the computer to which you had synced) so don't get stressed -- it will all be fine.
