Fragrance/Dye/Optical Brightener-free Detergents: Canadian Edition
January 25, 2016 12:18 PM Subscribe
I'm looking for a couple of laundry detergents that are fragrance, dye, and optical brightener-free. One for whites, one for colours is fine, but if someone can recommend one that's colour-safe and will clean both, that'd be great.
Bonus difficulty: Available in Canada.
Have you tried Arm & Hammer Liquid Laundry Detergent, Perfume & Dye Free? I've used the US version for years and my fragrance sensitivity is fine with it.

I use Nature Clean also - it's available at my loblaws in the eco/organic/vegan/hippy section.

I use Nellie's laundry soda. I get it at a natural foods store or I've found a baby store that sells it in bulk. I use it for everything.

Method has a fragrance free liquid laundry detergent. It's currently washing my whites. It's been fine for all my laundry.

We've used Ecover Zero, available at many supermarkets and "whole foods" type stores.

Can you get Seventh Generation stuff there? I love their free and clear laundry detergent, and I use it for everything (I would never buy a laundry detergent that only worked for some colors).

Seconding Ecover, it's very low on fragrance. I also used Arm & Hammer when I lived in the US.

I use Purex free and clear, it's sold near me at the No Frills. It goes on sale for good prices, a far cheaper alternative to the hippie brands.

Response by poster: Thanks everybody. It looks like the Seventh Generation one and Nature Clean fit the bill, and should be available near me.
