Selling CDs in bulk

Where to cell >100 CDs rejected by Decluttr for either (1) not being in their database or (2) having a small bit of writing (my name, now crossed out) on both the CD and the insert?

I already sold a bunch of CDs to Decluttr but I have at least 100 more that they will not accept either because they are not in their database or because at some point I wrote my name on the CD and the insert (small black letters, now crossed out). I would like to sell them elsewhere. These are mostly fairly mainstream 70s/80s/90s CDs with a few international and niche folky ones mixed in. I have tried Amazon but in searching the first 20 items, I've had a hit rate of <25% in their list of items eligible for trade-in. I check Second Spin based on an earlier AskMe question but they don't accept anything with writing on the "artwork" which I assume includes the insert. I am willing to ship them (but not pay for shipping) or bring them somewhere in DC or the Maryland 270/beltway/possibly Baltimore area. I don't really want to deal with listing individually on Craigslist or Ebay though I could do single bulk sale on Craigslist if that is likely to be successful.

Any thoughts?

Best answer: Me? Memail me how much you'd like for the whole batch. I'll put them in the cottage I rent via AirBnb.

Try Half Price Books. I love them because if it has no value, they'll throw it away for me.

See how many jewel cases you can fit in a priority flat rate box and sell that number in a lot on ebay. Start the bidding at .99 and make sure the shipping cost is accurate.

If there's only writing on the CD, you can probably remove the it with rubbing/isopropyl alcohol.

Or even without jewel cases. I recall one guy offering to slash postage for a dozen cds to the cost of three if I was willing to get the cds and inserts in a sturdy plastic sleeve inside a box.

You can list these on Amazon and sell directly to the consumer, with an honest description of the condition issues. For a quick turnaround, price your discs at 1ยข less than the competition.
