Digital Flipbook? Scrolling Gallery? Photo Project: Help Needed

I’ve been taking photos of the same(-ish) spot for the past year in the hopes of stringing them all together to illustrate the changing seasons. Now that I have the photos, I need some tech help to pull the next step off. Snowflakes (not many, I hope) inside.

I’ve searched online for tools to arrange these photos (300+), and I’ve been overwhelmed by the possibilities. What I’m looking for is a free, simple-to-use website or program to let me create a gallery of photos that viewers can scroll through at their own pace. Ideally the photo wouldn’t change after a period of time (none of this noise) and the lag between photos would be negligible. Making it available only to people with the address (or password or whatever) is preferable.

I’m only vaguely familiar with Flickr. I don’t want to use Facebook for this. What are my options?

Thanks in advance!

Flickr is a simple, free way to upload photos to share. However, you can't really customize the interface. You can make your photos private as well. Wordpress offers lots of templates and is fairly customizable. There are code modules and plugins online that you can use to change the templates and make it private.

The trade-off for things like this is you either accept the format of free sites, or you do some coding yourself so you get exactly what you want. There are plenty of tutorials that will walk you through it.
