Recommend hiking pants available in larger size

I'm a guy whose waist is in the 46" range and I've found that most hiking pants that people have suggested in other posts don't go up that large. Just wondering if anyone can recommend some pants that would work well for hiking that are available in larger sizes. I'm in Ontario, Canada, so I'd prefer something that was available in Canada.

Columbia Sportswear has big and tall sizes. I don't have their hiking pants, but I have a lot of other Columbia gear [I live 10 minutes from their headquarters in OR] and it is good gear.

I almost always just wear regular workout clothes for hiking (and I do serious hikes - I did 100 miles around Mont Blanc mostly in capri-length running tights from TJ Maxx) - you might have better selection if you look at general workout clothes instead of just hiking pants.

Depends what you're looking for in a hiking pant, though... generally workout clothes don't have features like zip-off bottoms or much in the way of pockets.

5.11 tactical cargo pants have a ridiculous name but are very sturdy and well made, have tons of pockets and are available in large sizes. They also ship to canada.

How about the sort of heavy-duty clothing designed for construction and maintenance and other outdoor work? That stuff definitely comes in larger sizes, to judge by a couple of extremely big guys I know. (That's in the northern-eastern U.S., though.)

Seconding the recommendation for Tactical Pants. 5.11, Propper and Vertx all make excellent pants in those sizes. I use them for hiking and outdoor work regularly.

(I work for a company that sells these, but we don't ship to Canada :-( )

I have very rarely been disappointed by anything I've purchased from Duluth Trading. I'm not sure what exactly you need in hiking pants, but Duluth has a lot of choices in larger sizes.
