Track ID: Egyptian hiphop / trip vocoder track

Just got back from Hurghada and recorded a snippet of a track in a shop. We asked a local DJ to ID it but he wasn't able to (-it's old, like 2 years - all that stuff sounds the same) so I'm turning to the hive.

Here's a mp3 link to the recording. Even if you can't ID the track itself, an artist or search term would be appreciated. Closest I've found is "arabic trap" but it's not quite similar. It's the bouncy quality I'm looking for.

There's a band named "Egyptian hiphop" and they're throwing all searches off. Clever but impolite naming that. My next band name is going to be "60s top ten hits".

This is NOT hip hop. This is just normal Egyptian pop. The vocoder is all over Arabic music and has been for the past 15 years. I don't recognise the singer's voice either. Do you have Shazam on your phone or ipad? You should use that to identify the song. Failing that, go on youtube and look up 'egyptian music 2014' and there should be lots of compilations on there.

And I love that band Egyptian Hip Hop! They're from Manchester, UK.

Response by poster: Thanks for the answer. I've been searching for trap / hip hop since that's what the local guy called it.

Neither Shazam nor any other ID service seems to catch it, so I'm resigned to manually going through youtube.
