Tool or software for comparing weekly schedules of a group?

I need an efficient way to break a class into teams based on schedules.

I'm a teacher, I have a pretty good-sized class, and I need to put the class into teams. I'd like to do what I can to put the students into teams based on how well their schedules match up. Is there a tool out there that would let me plug in their overall weekly schedules and see areas of commonality? Thanks!

Google calendar will do this. You can set up a calendar for each srudent blocking off their unavailable times, then use the "find a time" feature to view the times when their free gaps overlap.

You can also make your students make their own free/busy schedule calendar and share it with you to make it even easier on your end.
