I'm looking for a course (preferably a few months, not a degree) to count toward grad school requirements and to help my application.

I'm looking for a course (preferably a few months, not a degree) to count toward grad school requirements and to help my application.

I would like it to be in a "hard science" i.e. accounting, statistics, calculus that results in a letter grade or score that would be an equivalent to a letter grade. But I'm having difficulty finding something that fits these requirements (i.e. accounting is typically related to a degree) an in person course in Sydney. I came upon this course which would have been perfect but it doesn't have a grade and just a "participation" certificate which doesn't really help me.

I am open to online as well, but I prefer in person.

Response by poster: Also re "hard science" I meant NOT science classes but only quantitative financial courses.

You want a TAFE course of some sort, probably a Certificate IV or a Diploma.
Here is a list of the accounting and finance courses at Sydney Institute.

Alternatively, at this time of year, many of the Universities will be running bridging courses for people who don't have the pre-requisite knowledge for undergraduate subjects. You could try looking for those.

Or you could just enrol in an undergraduate course for one unit only.

Is the maths/accounting subject a prerequisite for the grad program you're trying to get into? I've found that sometimes if you apply for the grad certificate or grad diploma the entry requirements are a bit easier than a masters and you can usually transfer to a higher level degree if you maintain at least a credit average.
