What animal is tis desiccated carcass?

A friend snapped this photo and is wondering what it is.
It's about the size of the hand. Link below:

Location would be helpful, but it looks like one of the semi-mummified, car-squished Norway rats that regular shows up in our alley.

Any way to get a better shot of the skull, or the size (body length, etc.) of the thing? Otherwise I'm also gonna go with 'rat'.

Flat rat.
Unless it's the young of a much larger animal. In which case, it's a chupacabra.
