Where in the UK can i get a picture i supply printed into a large (1m x 1m) block canvas?

I recently visited a friend of a friend who had a large block canvas with a adorable photo of his daughter on, I'd like to do the same but for my fiancee. As the guy was a friend-of-a-friend i don't know him personally to ask him, and my Google searches pull up nothing.

Has anyone on MeFi got this sort of custom artwork from anywhere in the UK?

There's a firm here in Sheffield that do this probably cheaper than anywhere you'll find. The company is called Sheff Tech. You can get a quote here. I've seen the results, very good and they're pretty quick. No online ordering though, you'll probably need to send the picture via email.

Best answer: These people photobloc.com provide that service in the UK for canvases up to 30 inches X 30 inches as standard but offer a bespoke service as well should you want to supersize that.

There's a few places in Brighton - not much good to you oop Norf - but they are usually selling pictures/prints/picture framing as well so you should check a few of those kind of shops in your area. Failing Widnes I'd almost guarantee in Liverpool or Manchester.

By the way, that calculator isn't exactly intuitive, once you've entered the dimensions, you need to click the Calc image in the bottom left corner.

Photobox should do what you want. I haven't tried them yet but a friend uses them regularly and the results are good.

I looked at this quite a bit recently after seeing an example in, of all things, a British House Beautiful (or something like that) I think the best search phrase is "photo on canvas" here's just one I found.
