Plugging a chromecast audio into a denon m40

I quite fancy a denon m40 but I'm not sure if I can connect a chroecast audio to it. Can it be done?
I see the stereo has an "analog in" on it. I presume I connect it here or is it maybe for a turntable? Is this the same as line in?
(Apologies if this is a stupid question, I remember having a hifi years ago and my turntable not working if it was connected to line in rather than phono)

This help page on chromecast audio inputs gives more information about what cables and adapters you'll need to hook it up in various configurations, as most likely the included 3.5mm stereo patch cable won't be sufficient to do that.

Yeah, your best bet is the optical connection. You'll need a TOSlink to mini-TOSlink cable which doesn't come in the box.
If you want to use a non-optical connection, then yes, the analog inputs would be what you want. But optical is a better choice as it avoid potential ground loops and has less noise in general.
