I have a few questions about a form of erotic bondage. Clearly NSFW after the fold.

Someone I met is into erotic bondage, including cock bondage. We discussed it and I am not against it, in fact it appealed to me, but as I have no experience I would like some advice please.

1) what sort of things can be done?

2) what sort of sensations does this give?

3) how does it affect orgasms?

4) some of the things appear to cut off the supply or hold blood in a man's cock - how safe is this? How long can it safely be cut off/trapped inside for?

5) Can it affect ejaculation or are there any other dangers? Anything I need to be aware of? Anything I should not do?

There are lots of things you shouldn't do. Dan Savage covered some of them in a recent column. Get an account at Fetlife and look for resources and people into the same thing. Jay Wiseman has written several books for beginners new to bondage. At a workshop I heard him tell a horrifying story about an accident involving a man, a leash, bondage, a set of stairs and a permanent injury. Genitalia should not be turning blue, for example, even if the guy doesn't feel pain and is having a good time. So please do not take my word for anything. Does this person have experience with it? If so, talk to them about what they like about it and what their experiences are. Find out what they want to do and think about what you are willing to do based on that information. Cock bondage isn't like needle play where there are all kinds of safety concernes. I know dozens of kinksters that got their start tying up their own cocks as kids. So as long as you both communicate openly during the scene, you don't have much to worry about.
1) anything. You can pin the penis to the torso, or encase it in cord or stretch the balls or attach a vibrator.

4) cockrings work on the same principle. As long as you can get a finger under the cord, you can cut it with emergency scissors.
5) save the role play for a future play session. First few times keep talking until you are both comfortable.
