Christmas Eve dinner in Victoria, BC?

Where can I get a nice dinner on Christmas Eve/brunch on Christmas Day in Victoria BC?

I need your help, Hivemind! My partner and I will be in Victoria, BC over the holidays and it didn't occur to me to make reservations for dinner on Christmas Eve (our traditional 'big holiday dinner' night) or breakfast/brunch on Christmas Day until... well, today. I'm hoping it's not too late, and I'm hoping you lovely folks can recommend some places for dinner. We're staying in Downtown Victoria at the Parkside Hotel, we love seafood and interesting ethnic food. We are not huge fans of steakhouse "slab-o'-meat and taters" type fare, and we aren't super interested in the traditional turkey dinner. We're open to takeout if there's something amazing to be had on that route.

I've contacted Aura at the Inn at Laurel Point and the Fairmont Empress re: brunch on the 25th and I am awaiting their response, but if you have any other suggestions, I would very much appreciate it!

Check out Cafe Brio. Cozy atmosphere, excellent creative food.

Pescatores is well-known for their seafood and is a short walk from where you are staying.

Cafe Brio or Hanks Untraditional BBQ would be my two suggestions for Xmas Eve. Might wanna try contacting either to see if they'll be open. I don't know if Hank's is too meat centric for you, but they had some interesting twists on traditional turkey dinners for Thanksgiving (both Canadian and American).

Xmas Day is gonna be tough as the city shuts down almost completely. I think your best bets will be the hotels, maybe a few of the fancy pubs on tourist row along Government St (never been there but off the top of my head try Bard & Banker?).

I don't know what their Christmas hours will be like, but if they're open I'd recommend Northern Quarter or Olo for dinner. Also, if they're open and you have the time, grab a drink at Saint Franks and/or the Churchill.

Oh, and you could see if Don Mee Seafood in Chinatown has dim sum on Christmas Day.
