Can you help me find a really simple wallet?

I'm trying to find a bifold wallet with just two interior pockets. The closest I can find with my poor Google-fu is this wallet by Tuffy; it's really close. But I want cards that go in horizontally, not vertically, and I don't want a money clip either. Preferably it would be made from leather and in black. And it should be able to accommodate a fair few cards.

You could check out sfbags - they have a couple wallets. I have the Finn (which has a zipper) and love it - the Victor could maybe work too.

They make fantastic stuff (I have a couple of their satchel bags).

Yah - finding the exactly perfect wallet is a trial.

sounds like mine, which is from kenneth cole. their web site doesn't seem to show any, but if you go into a store they have a bunch on display (at least they used to - mine is pretty old (it has lasted really well)).

You didn't mention a budget, but I adore my Chester Mox wallet. I have a vertical dogleg wallet that I got as a gift about 4 years ago and it's still going strong. Highly recommended.

The Slim Sleeve (or other models) from Bellroy might be what you are looking for.

I've been using nylon (super thin) card holder wallets from All Ett for years now and have enjoyed them although I'm always looking at others.

Here's my list of options I would currently consider:

I have a nylon wallet from Allet; they make a leather equivalent that I think checks all your boxes. I've been happy with the nylon one; I currently have 8 cards between the two pockets.

This wallet should meet all of your specs: SADDLER Real Leather Bi-fold Card Holder with Removable Credit Card Sleeves

I just got one myself and it's pretty great. Amazon doesn't show the wallet in the open position but I can fill in: The two interior pockets are made of a (non-flimsy) clear plastic, which is just what I wanted - you can see what you are grabbing for. Measures about 4.25" across the pockets; 6" top-to-bottom, laid out flat. I usually try to avoid leather, but I made an exception in this case, because I wanted the case to be able to stretch out without breaking....unlike the last twenty-or-so plastic wallets that preceded this one...:-/

And it took a lot of hunting to find what I wanted, so I feel your pain here.

Response by poster: Well, I found the Royce Leather Business Card Case through phatkitten's link above. It's perfect! Just two horizontal pockets and nothing more, no cash pocket, pull out tab or other extraneous design features. Moreover, it advertises itself as being able to hold up to 30 business cards. It even omits a logo.

I headed over to Royce Leather's website and found the holy grail though, the Deluxe Business Card Case, which is advertised as being able to hold credit cards as well as being fully gussetted—perfect.

(Sadly, you can't buy direct from Royce and no Australian stores stock them as far as I can tell, so I spent about double the original item's price in USD buying it from a reseller that would ship to Australia. Ah well, it's a gift anyway.)
