Help me find someone to make simple, stamped metal pendants.

My cousin was recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. He was given a pair of stamped metal tags, and I would like a pair to match to show solidarity, but have had no luck. I reached out to his friend who gave him the original but didn't get an answer. Here's a photo.

Have you explored Etsy at all?

Those look like old fashioned dog tags to me. Maybe talk with a vet or pet store?

This is something someone on Etsy can do. Here's a search for Stamped Metal in the Necklace category. Most would be customized just during the ordering process (with what words you want) but a lot of shops will also have a button where you can contact them for custom orders. They could probably make something exact for you. Find a shop with good reviews and message the owner.

Yeah, Etsy. Or buy $10 of metal stamps/dies on eBay or Amazon and just do it yourself with some scraps and a hammer. It's incredibly easy.

I wonder if the friend who gave him the original feels it's their special thing and so that's why they haven't answered you. Have you checked with your cousin that it's not intrusive in some way? If so...something inspired by, but not the same from etsy might be good.

I'm also very sorry your cousin is facing this. You sound like a beautiful supportive family member. Hugs.

A search string you might find useful is:

stamped metal tags

The ones in your picture look hand made to me, so rokusan's suggestion of buying a set of stamps and making your own might be the simplest, if not the cheapest, solution.

I have seen things like that at bead stores. Some of them will even help you with the lettering/punching and assembly into a bracelet or necklace.

This one near you looks promising, but there seem to be several bead stores in the area. It might be worth e-mailing them a link to your photo.

Sarah Jane Nelson, along with her other talents, makes great stamped metal items. Life is Rosey.
