Quality replacements for iBook G4 power supply?

I have a 1st generation iBook G4 whose power cable has worn out and whose battery is about shot. I'd like to get it working again for a project, but am a little bewildered by the number of options, many of which appear (based on reviews) to be crap. Apple people of Metafilter - what are some affordable, non-garbage solutions?

I would trust Other World Computing. They've been a quality Apple vendor for a long time.

Kudos for keeping an iBook G4 truckin' all these years.

Seconding OWC. Worth noting that the power adapter they stock is not Apple but made by NewerTech (as are the batteries, likely); NewerTech has been around for ever and ever (albeit with a bit of a hiatus) and are a quality brand.
