Delicious Bookmarks Alternative

My Google-fu has failed. There was a Delicious Bookmarks alternative, made by a mefi,

but I cannot find it. Is it still a thing? Can I export my delicious bookmarks into it? Can I export the data out?

Response by poster: I'm sort of hoping it's not Pinboard. My interest is really just to keep my bookmarks to myself. I usually use delicious to mark things to read later (like books to get from the library), so that I can keep on track with $work.

Or resources for $work (Doc, Q&A's, etc)

I don't need to pin my holiday wishlist.

you are confusing pinboard and pinterest.

Pinboard != Pinterest. Pinboard is what you're looking for.

Pinboard is definitely what you're looking for, it's private by default, simple and has a number of good client apps.

Pinboard is public by default; turn on the 'privacy lock' user setting to make it completely private.

Yes, as others have said, you are thinking of Pinterest. Pinboard is a different thing and is AMAZING. I actually use and enjoy both sites, but Pinboard is great for what you want it for.

No wonder I couldn't find any results when searching - my brain saw, "Pin" and instantly though, "NOPE".

I still have a barely-used Pinterest account because of a similar mixup, and didn't even understand that I'd made a mistake until years later. I just thought that bookmarking service that I had liked the look of when I first heard about it had gotten kinda junky and linkspammy by the time I signed up. Then somebody finally mentioned Pinboard again and the scales fell from my eyes.

Pinboard is the best.

I woke up this morning wanting something like this, and Pinboard is exactly it. I'm dropping this comment here because I remembered this thread from a couple days ago, but searching AskMe for "del.icio.us" didn't bring it up. Now hopefully it will -- del.icio.us, del.icio.us, del.icio.us!
