Novara Compatible Hood

I have the Novara Express 2.0 cycling jacket from REI. It's great! But it's supposed to come with a "Novara compatible hood," sold separately, which I can't find for sale anywhere. Halp?
Things I've tried so far:
- calling REI. They said the hood is discontinued and is not available in any store in the U.S.
- looking on Amazon, Craigslist, and Ebay. No dice.
- looking at other outdoor retailers. Still no dice.
- zipping on a hood from a similar jacket, such as REI's Rainwall II. But the zippers run in opposite directions.
Surely someone somewhere has bought this hood? Would you be willing to perhaps sell it to me? I would really love to keep this jacket, as it fits great and has every feature I want (except a hood).
Alternatively, can anyone recommend a good alternative for a cycling jacket that does come with a hood? Streamlined shape (the fabric lies mostly flat, doesn't bunch up), reasonable colors (no neon), front pockets, longer sleeves, and elastic cuffs (with or without velcro). $80 or under.
