Debit-taking mobile payments in Toronto? Alternatives to Square?

I'm opening up a popup shop in November. The building is not wired for internet and the landlord doesn't want to wire it as such due to the short-term lease. I know about mobile payment systems like Square, but none that I can determine can take Debit in Canada (they're credit card only). This does not work for me. Are there non-Square alternatives that do take debit in Canada? Thanks.

You're looking to rent a wireless payment terminal, like the machines the pizza delivery guys use. There are a bunch of options, some do monthly rentals. A lot of the stuff attached to your phone/tablet won't read the chip, which is why they can't do debit.

Moneris Payd looks like it will do what you want, including chip and pin.

Square is coming out with an EMV-compliant terminal, but not in the next two weeks. Good luck!

Response by poster: Thanks, Oktober, but Square has literally been telling me that for 20 months. :)

Toronto is covered by wifi. One Zone High Speed Internet. I've used it before, it can be a bit spendy, might not be reasonable depending on your margins.
