How do I recover my Google Chrome Bookmarks from a TimeMachine backup?

I foolishly deleted a Guest User profile and all of her bookmarks in Google Chrome, not realizing that I was the Guest User. How can I recover my bookmarks? I have multiple Time Machine backups.

I'm using Mac OS X Yosemite and Google Chrome version 45.

Best answer: If you can navigate through the Library folder in your particular Users folder, you could find it in:

/Users/${USER}/Library/Application\ Support/Google/Chrome/Default/Bookmarks

It might be enough to simply restore this file or the entire Chrome library folder into place and restart Chrome.

Response by poster: Thanks, unfortunately I don't see the user/Library/Application folder. Is it an invisible folder, and is there any app I can use to make it viewable?

Best answer: How to show hidden files on a Mac; this is up-to-date for Yosemite, so you should be good.
