Name that song / artist

I was listening to CBC Radio 2 or 3 around 5pm or 6pm on Sept 18th and heard a great song that I believe was by a band from Iceland. Knowing my tastes, it would've been a twee little indie rock song. I wrote down what I hoped would be enough of the lyrics to help me to google the band. The words I wrote are: "sweet like honey pie" (possibly from the chorus?), "rodeo" and "songbirds" (probably from the verses?). Google hasn't got me the artist or the song. AskMe, can you name that tune?

Not sure at present, but here are the playlogs for that day for Radio 2 and Radio 3. I'm gonna start listening to a bunch of stuff and hopefully figure it out!

They have broadcast logs for each station. Those are for the date in question. You can figure out the time difference perhaps and track your track!

Got it: Hailslide by Júníus Meyvant. Icelandic was a huge help for picking through all the CanCon.
