Got my black calfskin blazer at Original Leather, and it's still babycow-new. Their stuff is quite good — not cheap, but worth it. Call 'em and see if they do black suede.

Rochester Big and Tall has fashionable (but expensive) men's clothes in big and tall sizes.

Come down to Orchard Street. The first three or four blocks south of Houston have a million different leather (and fur) jacket stores, and most are generally pretty open to haggling.
