MyFitnessPal+Fitbit Flex=?

Help me figure out how to best use a Fitbit Flex and MyFitnessPal together.

I've been using MyFitnessPal on my phone for about 6 months. I use it to track calories and nutrition, and also to log workouts (I lift in a gym, but I don't log that stuff in MFP because it seems mostly pointless and I keep a separate paper log of lifting days, so I mostly use MFP to log racket sports and running). I love it, as a calorie and nutrition tracking tool and as a way to approximate calories burned in sports and cardio.

My wonderful SO heard all of my subtle hints and gave me a Fitbit Flex for my birthday last month, and I love it; it gives me a non-gym and non-running goal to monitor during day to day life. Since the Flex is a very basic model, I mostly use it to track steps and sleep. I've explored the Fitbit dashboard some, and am not wild about the interface and the fact that I can't (as far as I can tell) input meals and exercise into the Fitbit app on my phone on the go like I can with MFP.

What I would love is if there was some way to dump my Fitbit data--so really just steps--into MFP at the end of every day. Is that possible? Am I missing an easy way to do that, or am I perhaps missing something essential that makes that pointless or otherwise not worth doing?

Help!

Looks like you can send data either direction.

There's a Fitbit app to get MFP data imported into the Fitbit dashboard - which can be accessed through your Apps settings.

MFP also has an Apps marketplace with a Fitbit app that can import your fitbit data into MFP.

This is how I do it, and it works perfectly. The steps transfer over automatically when you sync your Fitbit data, and MFP will give you a calorie adjustment automatically if you're due one.

Yes, I do that too, as the others say it works perfectly. You can still log activities in MFP too - so long as you enter the correct start time, it won't count them twice.
