First freelance project--advice?

Tomorrow I am meeting with a company for my first-ever freelance gig as a Salesforce consultant. What advice do you have?

I work full time and don't need this gig - in fact, this company called me for my help. Therefore I feel like I'm in the driver's seat, but I would like to parlay this job into potential future additional freelance / consulting projects.

What questions should I be asking? Do you have any suggestions for templates I can use to put together a statement of work / quote? What can I expect?

More than anything I am interested in your opinion as a veteran freelancer in any capacity. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!!

Ask a bunch of questions about what needs to happen, and figure out a way to make that happen with the SoW. Take a bunch of notes during your meeting, and ask lots of questions. Ask if they have a preferred template. Break things down, and be clear about what you will be responsible for doing/providing, and what the company will be doing/providing.

Don't make promises or talk money in this meeting. By all means, gather information about their requirements and talk about what you can deliver but don't don't ever put together a package at the table with the client.
