Looking for stores in NYC that are currently selling "bohemian" skirts

I'm looking for a "bohemian" style skirt, preferably non-patterned, preferably in a dark or jewel tone, either knee/midi length or longer, in straight sizes. Unfortunately, this came up last minute, so what I'm looking for is any knowledge of stores in Manhattan (or nearby Brooklyn or Queens) that have that sort of style in stock right now.

I'm ideally looking to spend less than $40, but I'm willing to check out stores selling something somewhat above that range. I am not fashion conscious, and I generally avoid stores as much as I can, so I'm not up on what styles are currently being sold where. I've been checking out websites for stores I can think of as well, but not seeing a ton. I'm using bohemian as the best description I can come up with for a flowy type skirt, but bohemian may be too narrow a term. For example, this from H&M could work: http://www.hm.com/us/product/85454?article=85454-A, but customer service told me that it is online only currently.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide!

Best answer: Actually, for a skirt like that I would look in flash fashion type stores, the type that don't really have comprehensive websites. Where I work, there are a few De Janeiro locations, for example. And I know Union Square has a Strawberry.

Also, the word "bohemian" to me would specifically imply "richly patterned," which may be throwing your search off. You just want a long skirt that's gathered at the waist.

Best answer: A helpful search term might be "broomstick skirt".

Best answer: try to look for stores that would serve clothes for more modestly dressed women -- I'm not sure for other religiously modest women, but there's a big move for being fashionable among the hijabis, and the kind of skirt you're looking for is fairly common. I'm not from there, so I don't know which neighbourhoods could this be located.

Best answer: This style is trendy enough that you should be able to find it by checking a couple fast fashion stores. Go to an area where there are a couple of them next to each other. Zara shows in-store availability, these could work...

Best answer: Check out Ibiza on Broadway. They have a boho vibe and carry Luna Luz skirts, which are exactly like what you described.
