Where can I find or build light box art?

I am wondering the best way to obtain light box art for my bedroom?

In my new apartment the bedroom wall has a light sort of like this that is meant to go over where you'd put the bed: LINK
It's not that exact fixture, but that kind of idea, think horizontal round shape, feels like a hotel.

I had the idea to put some sort of light box art over it, so that when you turned the light on you saw a nice photo, backlit. I'm not sure where to find out how to build this, or where to buy something like this?

If you use the current light fixture and put a box over it, you won't get even lighting across your picture. Lightboxes tend to have tube lighting that creates evenness across the lightbox, and often a diffusion screen to even out the lights.

To build one you can take or make a photograph and print it on a transparency. Size it to fit a lightbox (the kind photographer's use for viewing slides), and mount it on your wall. Hide the hanging cord with a plastic strip made for this purpose found at any home improvement store.

There are also several pieces available on Etsy if you search for lightbox art.
