The title says it all. I've been getting bored with the stuff I've been cooking, and I'm just looking for some inspiration. I like recipes that are Asian or Asian-inspired, because I don't have a lot of time on weekdays and love doing quick, flavorful stir-frys, for example. But I'm open to other kinds of food as well, as long as it doesn't take 2 hours to make. So just wondering if anyone's got some recipe sites they love and regularly use. Thanks!

Almost everything I have made from the Smitten Kitchen website has been delicious and bombproof.

I love Food52 and go there for interesting recipes. The comments on the recipes are usually pretty helpful too. Chowhound is good if you have weird ingredients or a specific recipe/technique (I google the domain and the keywords).

* Alton Brown's recipes on foodnetwork.com
* I like Jamie Oliver for vegetarian main course recipes
* Kalyn's Kitchen for low-carb
* Homesick Texan for TexMex
* Produce on Parade for vegan
* Joanne Eats Well With Others for vegetarian and desserts

I like Luke Nguyen's Vietnamese and greater Mekong cooking. This link is to the public TV station site and you can watch all his episodes for inspiration or search hundreds of recipes. And there are sections on general Vietnamese cooking guidelines, flavour profiles, essential ingredients and utensils and things too. I rarely cook his exact recipes but I do watch for inspiration before I make a trip to my local asian food markets. Then I improvise to suit my budget, taste, time available and cooking skills.

Best answer: I actually forgot Maangchi, who focuses on Korean food. Her videos are fun to watch and helpful if you want to see a specific technique in action.

Best answer: Another Vietnamese resource is Wandering Chopsticks. It isn't updated much anymore but still has 600+ original recipes and a section with guides, how-tos, and ingredients.

I'm a big fan of Food52.com, especially their Genius Recipes, 20-minute 20-dollar meals, and Kitchen Confidence columns.

Serious Eats is also a perennial favourite, and I'm a sucker for the voice of Orangette's writing (and every recipe I've tried of hers has been great.)

I like Post Punk Kitchen and 101 Cookbooks. Neither is strictly Asian but if you're looking for different combinations to inspire your cooking, I think you'll like them. They're both vegan/vegetarian.

Happy to see Silk Road Chef get a mention above! (that's my site)

These days I mainly watch Youtube videos for recipes. While it can be annoying to watch through the whole video instead of reading a recipe, I find I get a better sense for the quantities and how things need to be cooked. Then I just write down my own shorthand version of the recipe for next time.

Cooking with Dog for easy homestyle Japanese recipes
Xawaash for Somali and Middle Eastern food, they also have a traditional blog
Ahmet Kocht for Turkish (videos are in German but with English subtitles)
Nyonya Cooking for SE Asian

There are also a lot of really excellent Russian-language Youtube recipe channels, which, unfortunately, you need to know Russian to understand, but I'll post them here anyway for anyone who does:
Abdulaziz Salavat for restaurant-style Uyghur and Central Asian food
Семейная Кухня for easy homestyle Russian/Eastern European food
For homestyle Russian/Central Asian/other former Soviet Union food, BigGeorgeHighlander and Natalia Kim are both great.

Epicurious gets my vote! Sort by ratings, and take advantage of filters to drill down on ingredient/dietary consideration/cuisine type.
Also make sure you read the reviews because there can be great tips in there.
