B&B/Hotel w/a Nice OUTDOOR Pool Near NYC?

We've got a nine-month-old who's never really been in a pool. We'd like to plan a short two or three day vacation built around playing with him in an *outdoor* pool somewhere that's within a three hour drive of NYC. Please recommend a hotel or bed and breakfast that's got a nice, baby-friendly pool. Before the baby, we stayed at resorts in Arizona and California that'd be perfect for this sort of thing, but we can't seem to find anything similar on the east coast. Thanks!

I don't think a lot of places up here build outdoor pools since they'd be unusable for much of the year.

Mohonk Mountain Resort has a lovely indoor pool (you should probably double-check that they allow babies, since it's part of their spa) and an outdoor swimming area in a lake.

So google says I'm about 45 minutes out of your zone, but I would consider the The Sagamore. Our friends that have an 11 month old just went for a week, and loved it. Its apparently very family friendly- they have smaller pool areas for kids, lots of activities, and even babysitting if you want to go to a dinner while the little one sleeps or plays.

Rocking Horse Ranch. It is very kid friendly, in fact it is a family resort. Your nine month old is young, but they have a heated outdoor pool and a heated outdoor kids splash type pool.

More low key and much closer to NYC would be the Rye Hilton. They have both indoor and outdoor pool (in case the weather is not great the weekend you pick).

The Greenville Arms has a pool. I don't know about an additional, literal baby pool. It's really nice, the chocolates are great, and I love the bacon!

If you go, drive over to Rensselaerville for the Palmer House Cafe -- if you have room after breakfast!
