Recommend a web calendar.

I'm looking for a web-based, shareable calendar that can import tab-delimited files for populating the calendar quickly... bonus points for being able to share via RSS, and/or being able to comment on up-coming events.

WebCalendar? This is the best free one I've used (sampled quite a few) - but it seems you'll need to convert your tab-delimited files into iCal, vCal or Palm format before you can import.

I used Trumba when it was free. I also ran across Planzo recently (though I've never used it.) Some of the other calendar threads round up the usual online calendar suspects.

If at all possible, you shouldn't use tab-delimited files for calendar data because it's not a standard format. That means you'll have trouble finding supporting software, but it's also a safe assumption that the standards are not tab-delimited for good reason. Calendars are a well-researched area of software. Going with what's been proven to work is a good way to avoid problems.

I second the vote for webcalendar. I have very limited skills with php/mysql but was able to easily install and customize it.

There's an demo install here that you can admin.

Airset is a fantastic calendar in everyday function, but I'm not sure about its import abilities. In the past, though, I've dug up my old yahoo! account, imported my files into yahoo's [robust] calendar, and exported as a standard .cal file. An extra step, but a one-time price to be able to use the best online calendar I've used (and I've used a few).
