Posting the same link from an RSS feeds to twitter several times a day.

Is there a (free) service which will allow me to automatically post the same link from an RSS feed (in other words my blog) automatically to twitter four or five (scheduled) times a day? ifttt.com only allows you to do this once as its posted and Buffer only allows for a single scheduled time or different links at different times.

Twitter blocks duplicate tweets within a certain time frame, so that's probably why your current solutions won't let you post multiple times. You might be able to get around it by changing the wording a bit for each scheduled tweet, but in my experience (I do social media in my job) their parameters for what's considered a "duplicate" are getting more and more strict.

But why? What's the problem you're trying to solve?

Best answer: As someone who reads your Twitter feed, feelinglistness, I am wondering if you just don't need to optimise the times you set Buffer to post rather than post the same thing several times. Check which time zones your readership is in - I choose to post important links so I reach UK people during lunch (and Aussie people just before midnight) and then again in the evening so UK readers post-dinner and US readers heading into work can catch up. I think time zoning is a much more efficient (and follower-friendly) way of achieving better reach.

Response by poster: Thanks. I think I'll have to stick to doing this manually.

Jeffxl: It's because a fair amount of my readership is now through Twitter and as kariebookish identifies, if one link posts automatically a ton of people will miss it and I was just looking for an easy way around having to create scheduled tweets manually.

I would echo kariebookish's hint that redundant posting is not follower-friendly. More tweet volume is a problem, not a solution. Less is more.
