What is this scifi story (novel?) that I dimly remember.

I only remember a few details, but it left an impression. Protagonist a very stable, socially responsible woman. The Powers That Be for reasons I can't remember offered her rejuvenation therapy...

Trusting that she will remain devoted to the greater good of society and be responsibly dull. Therapy involves telomeres and there is technobabble about them. Post therapy she becomes an actual young person and tries out some lifestyle changes. I think she goes on the run. End of memory. Anyone know what it might be?

there is some very weird/awesome clone/memory storage with a woman character in John Varley's flawed but inventive 'Ophiuchi Hotline'.

The double-check to make sure it's Holy Fire is that place names are all in the local language, so people go to Koln or Moskva.

Response by poster: J, I will check out hotline, the title alone begs investigation, thanks. Xenophobe, I envy the ID.
