Short movie collection online?

I have a bunch of shorts clips I would like to access online?

I have many short video clips I have collected over the years and would love an easy, simple way to watch them via my iphone. I have very limited space on my phone, so cant keep them locally, but I have plenty of space online and my own domains I can access?

I just looking for some simple method to take all these video files, drop them into a directory via ftp and then be able to find, bookmark and watch them on my iphone via chrome ios or some other manner?

It should be simple, right? Am I missing something here.

Wouldn't the simplest thing be to upload them to YouTube and set them as private?

Your ftp thing would also work fine if you wanted it to, but you'd probably want something like VLC on your iPhone to actually play the files.

If you really want it to play through chrome with links and all, then you'll probably want to set up an web server with something like an HTML5 player on it that will show the video (basically build a mini-youtube of your own)

Plex seems like it would fit your needs. I think you might need a subscription for viewing outside the house though.
