best on-site desktop training program?

What's the best on-site program for learning InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator basics in an integrated way? Maybe a weeklong event with a lot of individual attention to leaners?

My employer's willing to ship me off to gain these skills as intensively as possible. Going outside the office as opposed to closing my office door and doing webinars sounds better to both of us. Web searches about these kind of opportunities are proving frustrating.

Where are you? I've heard these classes are pretty good, but there may be something closer to you.

As someone who learned all 3 via the internet and distance learning, failing a really amazing local program, I would suggest the lynda.com and/or the UCLA distance program..

I taught myself all 3 suites via lynda.com and I can say that a subscription is a fantastic way to go (and no I don't work for them).

In terms of an efficient, cogent way to learn Adobe, it the best resource I know.

Utilize the 7 day free trial and check it out before you commit.

Note: start with the "basics" courses but make sure you are working in the same versions. You can download Adobe trials as well...

Certificates are offered so you can present your progress to your boss and you may wish to ask for a week away from the office to sequester yourself and go through them. You'll get better results than doing it in your 'spare time'.

It depends on you, but I'm pretty sure a few concentrated days with no distractions is easily enough time.
Keep on track by practicing small but deliverable-worthy pieces & not getting lost in the how-to's without producing anything.

UCLA also has great distance programs. They aren't weekend intensives, but happen over the course of a semester. They teach you the software and you work on a number of projects, picking up a fair bit of design info as well. I absolutely recommend it.

I got a lot out of doing both.
Lynda, in particular, for 6-12 months until you know all the tricks.

Many local community colleges (or colleges if you're in the UK) have courses on these if you're near one. They're usually evening courses.
