Please help me find the book Paths to a Good Life - Philosophical Reflections on Everyday Ethics by Henrik Syse.

Henrik Syse was the subject of a front-page Wall Street Journal article today. He is a Norwegian philosopher helping his government figure out how to spend its oil money. The article mentions Henrik Syse's latest book, "Paths to a Good Life - Philosophical Reflections on Everyday Ethics". I'm very interested in this book, but I can't find any information about it.

Google only turns up one mention of the book in a word document, and Amazon only has one book (not this one) written by Syse.

I'm suspecting the book was written in Norwegian and has not been translated, but I can't verify that. Can any Norwegians help me out with more information?

Seems like it's called Roads to a Good Life

I read the article, too (reprint here), and think the lack of an English translation of the book at any of the usual places is the best evidence you can find that it has not yet been translated. It sounds interesting, though, so let's hope the WSJ interest leads someone to take up the task.

Books In Print doesn't show it as available or forthcoming, so why don't you just email the author? Oh, his CV cites the work as: Veier til et godt liv – filosofiske tanker om hverdagslivets etikk [”Paths to a Good Life – Philosophical Reflections on Everyday Ethics”]. Oslo: Aschehoug, 2005.

Okay, heck if I know what's going on; BiP doesn't show anything even when I specify the ISBN given on this page.

Thanks everyone! Guess I'll have to wait for the English translation or learn Norwegian! :)
