Atheist Recovery Resources in El Paso

I have a friend who is interested in recovery and is struggling to find Atheist/Agnostic resources in El Paso. Does anyone have any good leads?

(Note: I am an agnostic in recovery and have had positive experiences with AA, so I totally get that AA can be useful for everyone, but this friend wants specifics about Atheist-friendly meetings, groups, counselors, services, and everything related to recovery.

Your friend might find something useful looking up Smart Recovery. I don't know if there are any in-person meetings in your area, but if not, there are online forums and chats that might be of use. You may find individual religious people in meetings, but the organization itself and the tools it offers are secular. I know some people who have found the religious aspects of AA/Al-Anon offputting, who have found homes in Smart Recovery.

In addition to SMART Recovery your friend might also look into Moderation Management, Secular Organization for Sobriety, and Women for Sobriety.

Recovering from Religion has a hotline, manned on weekends mostly, I believe. I think the number is 184-IDOUBTIT. They can give your friend localized information. Also check Reddit.com/r/atheism for ongoing discussions, etc. Here's the web site.
