How can I get an interview with Barack Obama?

From what I have seen, Barack Obama has been doing some pretty unique and smaller level interviews lately, online, podcasts, comedy shows, AmA, etc. I would love to take this oppurtunity to throw my hat in the ring and ask for an inteview. How would I go about asking for this?

Background- I am helping produce a local radio show on WFMU. This is a faily well known and respected listener supported radio station out of Jersey City, NJ. I was going to ask for him to just talk about music. I know this is a pie in the sky ask, but if I don't try, I'll never know.

So, how would I find his booking contacts? Increasing my chances of getting an interview? Any Mark Maron producers out there that have insider contacts?

Any tips, contacts, or suggestions are requested.

Have you listened to Marc Maron's podcast about his interview with Obama? His producer says the White House reached out to them, and it took quite a bit of discussion before the president's name even came up and it was over a year between the first contact and the interview. I think it's a "don't call us, we'll call you" situation.

It's not so much booking him as his people reaching out to you because they're already fans and familiar with you.

I don't believe he has done any local shows.

You can always email or call them with an invitation. Not sure if this info is still current but worth calling.

(But I wouldn't expect it to lead to anything.)
