Seamstress/tailor in Atlanta area off Roswell Road?

I'm looking for a wonderful woman who altered my clothes about 10 years ago. I believe she was known for fitting plus sized women well. She made some major changes to some clothes as I lost weight, and did a fantastic job. I'm back in he area but can't seem to find the shop. Does anyone remember this shop? Is it still there or somewhere else?

This would be a great job for Yelp!

Response by poster: I should probably add a few things! I've driven by where I thought it was and couldn't find it. Yelp has so many results that it hasn't been helpful. I could drive the results but I thought I'd try here first. I'm not super familiar with the area, having lived in Grant Park before and Acworth now. I could also welcome recommendations for a tailor of plus sized clothes. Thanks!

Best answer: Was it perhaps in Marietta? Lily's Alterations is supposed to be great.

What it for sure a shop? A relative of mine lives off Lower Roswell Road (in Marietta) and did a lot of seamstress work (including alterations) in that time period.

Which Roswell Road? (Seriously. There's the north-south one that runs from Buckhead to Roswell and the east-west one that runs from Marietta to Roswell.)

(asked because my relative works out a seamstress-shop space in her house, not in a retail-type of location)

Best answer: There was a great seamstress on Hammond Dr., right near Roswell Rd, who was Jamaican if I recall correctly. Is that she?

If so, I don't think she is in business any longer. (And I can't remember her name, dangit!)

Response by poster: Ah yes, city of a million streets with about 3 names to go around. I am referring to the Roswell Road that runs from Buckhead to Roswell, though I don't remember if it was ITP or OTP.

I think FergieBelle might have it - the woman did speak with an accent (I don't know which accent) and Hammond Dr sounds just right. Disappointing that she may no longer be working. She was wonderful!

Edited to add: I'll check out Lily's in Marietta, thank you!

Was it the tailor at Silver Linings? Wow, she was a rock star.
