Are there people, maybe some kind of professional organizer, who will simultaneously unpack and declutter after a move-in? Where's the best place to look for them?---I'm in Northern Virginia.

Best answer: I'm a professional organizer, but IANYPO. (I've always wanted to type that!) You want to go to the web site for the National Association of Professional Organizers. On the right side of the screen, below the banner, click on the "Click here to find…" and put in your zip code, a reasonable radius and whatever residential specialty areas with which you need help.

Feel free to Me-Mail me and I can walk you through any of the specialty areas or protocols. CPO® refers to Certified Professional Organizers, and it's an international credential. Golden Circle refers to 5+ year industry veterans in NAPO. But basically, click through and read the professional organizers' web sites listed for your region, and pick two or three to email or call for an initial consultation. (I only do phone consultations; some POs do them in-person.)
