App for sorting lots of furniture into different rooms?

I'm looking for an app or other software (hopefully available online) that will help me to plan how to put large numbers of chairs, desks and tables and sort/divide them into different rooms. Do you know of any?

Well, Vizio and Auto-CAD are the standards for programs that do this, IMO. People tend to think flowcharts when they think of Vizio, but it really can do floor plans easily.

Here is a free web-based alternative called Lucid Chart to Vizio that can export a Vizio file. I haven't used it though.

Floorplanner is a fairly basic online layout tool that has a very easy learning curve. It's a little quirky sometimes and you can't design your own objects, but it sounds like it could meet your needs. Free is free.

I've found Sketchup to be fairly intuitive - and it's also free.
