Subterranean Flety Blues

I was recently gifted a tape of underground folk music from the Soviet hippies ("sistema") of the late 1970s. I'd like some help figuring out the lyrics to this Dylanesque tune. Hive mind, can you help? (Note: I don't know a word of Russian myself.)

Я уже вышел из возраста когда
Я мог говорить все что на уме
Теперь я шифрую свои слова
И этот способ нравится мне
Мы прячем как страус, мозги в песок
Надеюсь что на этом месте (заалеет?) цветок

Roughly:
I've already left the age when
I could speak everything on my mind
Now I encode my words
And I like this way
We hide like an ostrich, heads in the sand
I hope that a flower will bloom here
