Help finding a unique storage bed.

Small Apartment Filter. Been looking for a storage bed like this, but available in NYC for months. My shopping-fu has failed. Help!

Response by poster: As a note. It appears that the company I linked may be able to deliver outside the UK, but I would really love to find a US retailer for this bed.

There was a store on 7th Avenue between 15th and 16th Streets that had one of those in the window for a long time - not sure it's still there.

Best answer: Design and Comfort (Midtown, at the corner of 30th & Park Avenue South) has something similar that might work for you.

Not a "flip-top" style such as you linked to, but the Blu-dot Modulicious bed does give you 3 full extension drawers worth of storage on both sides of the bed. (Link is to Hive Modern, but lots of modern furniture places carry blu-dot)

Response by poster: misterbrandt, unfortunately the room is too small to pull out the under-bed drawer.

The bed mewithoutyou found looks perfect, but I'm worried its going to be a fortune. I'm going to head to the showroom tomorrow (or Monday if they're closed). I'll keep you all informed.

You might consider a Murphy Bed. They are famous for snapping-up folks in comedies.

In Seattle there's a store downtown that sells stylish "wallbeds" to apartment dwellers. (Probably not much help in NYC though.)
