YouTube > MP3 securely and reliably?

Now that the Youtube MP3 Podcaster Firefox plug-in can no longer be used to generate MP3s, what are some secure, reliable replacements?
I'd prefer a plug-in to a web service, but am open to any good solution.
I use youtube-dl. The developer seems to be really responsive about getting updates out quickly when YT changes break the existing version.

It may not be all that convenient, but you could always play the YouTube clip and record it with Audacity or something.
