Anyone have recommendations on how to find a videographer for a wedding upcoming in two weeks?

I want to surprise a friend with the gift of a videographer for her wedding, which is coming up soon. I did a google search and am overwhelmed... would love advice on where to start looking or even specific recommendations!

Are you sure this is even something she wants? We deliberately didn't have a videographer at our wedding, because we just don't enjoy watching wedding videos. I don't regret the decision.

Also, this is a VERY expensive proposition. A couple grand usually. (Depending if it's just the ceremony or if it includes the reception as well.

Response by poster: Yep, she asked specifically for a videographer and it's outside her budget. There's a bunch of us contributing - so yes, assume this is a wanted present, and that we are willing to put the cash forward!

Best answer: Thumbtack. Used it many times for this, always satisfied with the results.

Response by poster: GENIUS! I put out a proposal on Thumbtack and within 15 minutes have three quotes including a quite competitive quote from Reggie Williams (an artist who's trying to break into wedding films).

I've emailed my friends suggesting we hire him!

Thanks so much!!
