Spoil "Frog Music" for me.

Have you read "Frog Music" by Emma Donoghue? Can you spoil it for me? (Spoilers, probably, inside.)

I can't bear to read anything about abused children, or children dying, etc. I just got to the scene where Blanche goes to her son in the ... boarding facility. I had nightmares. But--I like this book, otherwise. Can you tell me if the abused/dying children thing gets any worse or is that the worst of it? Does P'tit die? If so, I don't want to read any further.

Best answer: I read it a while ago, but as far as I can remember, the scene you describe is the worst of the abused/dying children thing. And no, P'tit doesn't die.

Best answer: You ask for spoilers, so there are many descriptions of the sick child and if children in dangerous situations bother you, he is kidnapped later in the book.
