I need these fancy pants

I saw someone wearing the shiniest pants I've ever seen, and I'd love to get a pair like them.

I don't need these exact pants, but I do want a pair of shiny leg-coverings. I'm not jazzed about american apparel's metallic leggings or betabrand's disco pants. In a perfect world, they'd be under 100, but I could swing a little bit more than that if I had to. I'm fine with wearing either women's or men's pants/leggings, as long as it's not high-waisted. It's okay if I have to order online, and I can get to anywhere accessible by transit in the bay area.

Best answer: Metallic fabric by the yard is not expensive (as fabrics go). Do you know someone who can sew? A tailor, maybe a seamstress recommended by a fabric shop or dry cleaner?

Best answer: In the Bay Area, go to that drag store on Haight. I can't remember the name, but it's the one with the huge legs sticking out the second store window.

Best answer: Leggings, if you have a sewing machine that can handle stretch fabric, are incredibly easy to make.

Best answer: How about these? Not high waisted, and holographic. I found some more trouser-style holographic pants, but they were all out of stock unfortunately.

Best answer: (The place mollymayhem is trying to remember the name of is Piedmont Boutique, and I agree that if they don't have anything that works, they'll know who will.)

Betabrand Disco Pants. They had some other shiny pants for men there as well. And it's on Valencia Street in SF.

Response by poster: It looks like Piedmont won't have them, but it looks amazing, so I'm happy to know about it. (oh my gosh, fuzzy hats.)

I didn't realize leggings were easy to make, so I guess I'll ask around to find someone good with a machine.

Response by poster: I'm coming back to say that oh my goodness Piedmont is amazing. My partner dragged me there on a rainy day last week and literally within five feet of the door were my dream pants. I have a pair now. I'm so happy.

Yay! Thanks, everyone!
