Research / Detective geniuses of MeFi, hear my call. Please can you help me identify the man standing directly to Jeffrey Tambor's left in the image at the top of this page from the Golden Globes? I assure you this is for important, serious purposes...

Have you tried cropping humph's image (clearer shot) and running it through Google Images?

In case it's a helpful data point, in the Getty Images photos of the winners, he is only identified as "guest."

The photographer in bcwinters' link is on Twitter (Steve Granitz), might be worth asking him there? He might retweet and I'm assuming he has a following that actually have television sets and have seen the show. Ahem.
Because of the way the mystery man seemed to shepherd some of the cast members on to the stage, I've tried googling on the production side (directors, producers, writers) but not had much luck either (partly because many don't have their images in public).
